Thank you for having great, affordable produce and carrying everything I need. And thank you for having free delivery on orders over $50. We don't have a car and carrying big loads of groceries home is always a struggle. It also takes half a day when we do it on the weekends and take our pre-schooler with us. Thank you for your diverse selection and reasonable prices. I can remember shopping at Donald's with my mother since I was four or five years old, I have been a dedicated customer ever since (20+ years).
A special shout-out to the inimitable Carmen at the check-out counter. Carmen always greets her customers by name -- she's memorized thousands (I think I'm number 9090, if I recall correctly) and also can say hello and goodbye and thanks in a number of languages. And she's effervescent. (And of course the selection and variety and prices at Donald's are terrific as well)
I've been going to Donald's Market for well over 30 years and have always enjoyed being recognized and appreciated as a regular customer and getting to know the staff in return. In addition, they have an amazing selection of foods (and even toiletries) from different countries plus a lot of items specifically geared for special dietary needs. I've always preferred them for their fresh fruits and vegetables too - and their prices compare very favourably to larger stores. And to top it all off, they still fill and deliver orders! It's an indication of their success that they've got 2 stores in the neighborhood. I wish everyone on staff a very Happy Holiday and all the best for 2015!
